Thank you for your interest in St. Petersburg Christian School! We are here to partner with you and your church in the spiritual and academic education of your child. We consider it a privilege and joy to serve your young person during the formative years.
To Learn More Typically, the first official contact with SPCS is through the Admissions Office. We encourage every family to call (727) 522-3000 or request an information packet online. After looking over the packet, we ask you to call to make an appointment (usually lasting about an hour) to come in to learn more about our program and process, and to tour our campus. This is also the time to ask any questions you have that may not be covered in the information packet, or to ask specific questions pertaining to your child or family.

The Registrar is happy to set up visitation for prospective students or their parents who desire to visit in our classes. This allows an opportunity to get a close up view of a typical day at SPCS for those parents or students who need just a bit more information or confirmation. Students visiting in the middle school may request to "shadow" one of our students, a Saints Ambassador, who has been selected to represent our school.

St. Petersburg Christian School admits qualified students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin. Neither does it discriminate with administration of its educational policies and programs. The school extends an ecumenical outreach to children in Kindergarten through Grade 8. It serves families representing many churches, nationalities and creeds.

The Application Procedure Once your decision has been made, return the completed Application to the Registrar in person as soon as possible, contracts are completed at this time. (Some grade levels reach capacity quickly.) A check for the Registration Fee of $250 must accompany the Application in order for it to be processed.
Please request the release of all records from your child's school. Give appropriate reference forms to teachers and, for middle school, to your child's youth pastor. Reference forms should be sent directly to the Registrar. The Admissions Committee can review your application only after these records have been received.
|
Testing All kindergarten children are required to be tested. Children in Grades 1 through 8 require a recent standardized achievement test. If such testing is not available, just call the Registrar and she will set up an appointment for testing to be done. A fee of $40 is due at the time of the testing.
|
Acceptance The Application will be reviewed in its entirety when the file is complete. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all materials have been received. An incomplete file cannot be reviewed. The responsibility of the Admissions Committee is to determine if the child can be successful as an SPCS student. The registrar will contact the family as soon as she has received the file from the Admissions Committee. Accepted applicants will receive written notification and other pertinent acceptance information.
