SPCS HAS GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR NEW CLASSROOM BUILDING!!
The groundbreaking ceremony for the new SPCS classroom building was held on October 20th.
The ceremony was highlighted by prayer, song, student participation and putting the "shovels in the ground"
to officially represent the start of construction. Actual construction will start on or about November 1st.
Over 400 students, faculty, parents and community friends attended this significant event. Mayor Bill Foster
provided thoughtful comments on the value of Christian education. Brianna McNary and Scotty Schaefer
provided student prayers. In his comments, Steve Knellinger, stated "We are thrilled and excited about our new building.
We have been blessed with a growing excitement about our new building. We have been blessed with a growing
enrollment and wonderfully supportive families and friends. This new building will enable us
to better serve our students and community both today and for generations to come."
A reception in the gym followed the ceremony where refreshments were served and
attendees reviewed the building plans and met our builders, architects and banker.
The new facility will replace a 40 year old two-story, 10 classroom building with a
3-story building, providing 22 well-equipped classrooms, a state-of-the-art technology
program, cafeteria, and much more.
