FIFTH GRADE

WELCOME TO SPCS FIFTH GRADE

Fifth Grade begins the journey into our Upper Division. Our fifth grade classrooms are on the third floor--along with the Upper Division students.  Fifth grade students participate in Upper Division chapel and are able to choose from multiple electives.

The SPCS Fifth Grade experience provides students an academically challenging, Christ-centered, and fun-filled education. The students learn organizational skills and work toward independence as they transfer from one class to another for core subjects.

Students learn in a variety of ways. We use hands-on activities and cooperative learning throughout the year, in all subject areas. Students complete fun, but challenging projects to demonstrate their knowledge. We take interesting field trips that complement our studies, for example MOSI, Busch Gardens or Sea World, Weedon Island Nature Preserve, and more. Interesting guest speakers are brought in as well.

The SPCS Fifth Grade Program incorporates a challenging, National and State standards based curriculum in the following core subjects:

Math, Language, Bible, Science, Reading, and Social Studies

In addition to the core subject areas above, fifth graders also participate and learn in other areas such as: creative arts, Spanish language, computer skills, library and media skills, and physical education.

Come see all of the fun, adventure, and learning we have in fifth grade where we learn a lot and make friendships that last a lifetime!

Your child is one of God's wonderful creations and I feel blessed to lead them on their educational and spiritual journey in fifth grade.

Our classroom is a place of growth and responsibility.  Your child will have the opportunity to experience learning in a hands-on learning environment. Each child is unique and blessed with special gifts. Our school enables each student to find their passion while utilizing individualized and group instruction.

Technology is a key component to success and incorporated throughout our day. Parental involvement and support are integral in our classroom and we welcome you to join us any time and bring your God-given talents.

Come and join us on our wonderful journey!

I am thrilled to teach at St. Petersburg Christian School because, as a parent and teacher, I know that the administration truly cares about each student and family!  I am a graduate of St. Petersburg Christian School!

I love working with students and have had so many wonderful opportunities to influence and inspire them teaching here at SPCS.  I am honored to teach and want each of my students to reach their highest potential. Each day it is a priority in our class to exemplify Jesus in our academic work and our actions.

I look forward to seeing you in my classroom!

"When I consider your heavens the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of the man that you care for him?"
