Guidance

St. Petersburg Christian School is committed to the welfare of the whole child, encompassing their spiritual, social, and emotional well-being. Our Guidance Department is available to assist students through the unexpected events of their young lives and to provide leadership with programs that will help them navigate successfully through the formative years. Referrals are initiated upon request of the student, a parent or a teacher.

Our guidance counselor visits classrooms throughout the year to lead engaging sessions on topics such as bullying prevention, healthy coping strategies, conflict resolution, and spiritual growth. They are expounded upon in chapel messages and bible classes through aligned scripture verses, stories, videos, songs, and interactive activities.

Groups are formed on an “as needed” basis. Topics range from grief from a death and divorce care to making friends. So as not to disrupt classroom instruction, groups meet at the close of the school day, during lunch, or during recess.

Meet The Guidance Counselor

Ms. Heather Kragh is the Guidance Counselor at St. Petersburg Christian School!  With a rich background as both a classroom teacher and a valued member of school guidance teams, Ms. Kragh brings a compassionate, well-rounded approach to supporting students.
